Marie K. Schaffhausen known to many generations of devoted friends and relatives went to her rest and reward on Saturday, January 15, 2005 at 4:00 pm. Daughter of the late Joseph Schaffhausen and Agnes Scheufens Schaffhausen. Sister of the late Elizabeth, Ann and Sister Mary Clare Schaffhausen and Josie Bird. Aunt of Julie Schnaars, JoAnn Dugas, Jude Bird and Jim Bird. Also survived by numerous grand nieces and nephews. Aged 98 years. A native of Rayne, LA, a longtime resident of Eunice, LA and for the past 12 years a resident with the Marianites Sisters of Holy Cross at St. Joseph Convent. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Services. A Mass will be celebrated at Holy Angel's Chapel, 1035 Gallier Street on Monday, January 17, 2005 at 8:00 am. A visitation will follow the Mass on Monday at Holy Angel's Chapel until 9:30 am. Services in Eunice, LA: Visitation will be at Ardoin Funeral Home, Eunice, LA on Monday, January 17, 2005 between 5:00 pm and 10:00 pm. A Rosary will begin at 7:00 pm. Visitation on Tuesday, January 18, 2005 between 9:00 am and 10:00 am at Ardoin Funeral Home. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Anthony Church, Eunice, LA at 10:30 am. Interment will be in St. Paul Mausoleum, Eunice. LA. Family guest book may be signed on line at www.Legacy.com. In lieu of flowers, Masses preferred.
